Farmarama Remixes, Vol. 1
A 4 track nu-disco single (32m 18s) — released May 10th 2019 on Other Records Ltd
Reviving their cult label Other Records to release their long-awaited new material, Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones prove they haven't lost any of their A&R muscle on this, the first single taken from their acclaimed Farmarama LP.
The release, which features a radio edit of their unashamedly continental disco thumper Ou Pas plus album remixes from rising star Carrot Green (aka Carlos Gualda) and the unassailable don of space-disco Prins Thomas, delivers a knockout punch that'll send you reeling (around the dancefloor).
While Carrot Green transforms Ou Pas into a brooding, Brazilian acid monster, Prins Thomas turns in a 12 minute magic carpet ride of percussion and bass-fuelled cosmic-disco with his curiously moving rework of AMCA's tribute to David Mancuso, Paul Valéry at the Disco. Rodgers and Jones round up the release with a typically shimmering deep-disco-dub of the album's title track Farmarama.
Evoking sultry nights, steamy dancefloors, blue skies and beach parties, this release is here to tell you emphatically that SUMMER IS COMING.
